By BJ Cook,
So I just got done filling out my speaker application for the "Social Media" category for Online Marketing Summit, San Diego 2009. They present you with a dropdown to choose a topic that you would want to speak about. I saw three or four that I'd be interested in, especially the "Integrated Marketing" one. I assume the ones listed are the ones they need qualified speakers for. If you saw the Go-to-Marketing plan and Community Marketing Plan I had built for SuggestionBox, you'd think it would need an army to setup and manage. I'll let Adam speak to that ;)
So here is what I submitted as th abstract for my application:
Title - "Social Media: Where to Start?"
Description: With the current trend of marketing budgets gaining another tactic to proportion their dollars to; it's important that people understand what entering into Social Media means and what's available to them to get started. I'll take a look at what it means to do Social Media, pre-built or build-your-own tools and how to create an action plan if you're ready.
Stay tuned or follow me on Twitter as I found out whether I'm in or not.
cheers,
BJ
